The past is a good reflection, but now it is time to set eyes on the future.
Channy Bivens
One of my Facebook friends.

This one, seems to have pushed one of my buttons.
I don't cry as if I have lost something.
I cry as if something has been ripped away, taking part of me with it.
And I have to fill that void with what is left..

And I’ll tell you, today was a very good day,
full of promise and potential.
But that past will never disappear.
And,
I guess,
 I’m ok with that.

I don’t expect you to know what I’m talking about.
But I can tell you this.
There are several ways to deal with the wounds that will never heal.
You can bury them under callousness,
you can deny them and pretend they are not there,
you can wear them like a badge.
Or you can accept them, and be grateful
that you are still here.
